Chong Khneas, Cambodia - June 3, 2024 [Note: no sound] Chong Kneas is a small floating village with about 6,000 inhabitants. In this village they have school, medical centre, catholic church and many stalls. The curious thing about this Cambodian floating village is that people don't live on the same spot on the lake all year round; in the dry season, which lasts a few months, they move a few kilometres further inland. They move their houseboats, school, shops... Everything remains the same, but in a different place, where they live mainly from fishing. But of course, it's a very touristy place and maybe that's what helps to keep people living here. The way to get around, of course, is by small boats. With pictures in association with Tom Wetherald.
