Verizon Launching 5G Broadband Service in October The company states ‘5G Home’ will have speeds of 300 Mbps and peak at nearly 1 Gbps. This will be the first 5G service to launch in the U.S. The home internet service will initially be offered in Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Sacramento. Verizon’s 5G Home will cost VZW customers $50 per month and $70 for those who aren’t already customers. Customers can sign up for the speedy service starting September 13. This is different than mobile 5G that many providers are currently working on. Mobile 5G will have a bigger impact on new internet speed standards.
