Keeping your blood pressure low is very important to take care of as we get older. Apart from generally reducing stress in your life, the best way to take care of your blood pressure is exercise. A study by the British Journal of Sports Medicine revealed the most effective exercises to combat high blood pressure. After analyzing 270 studies with data from nearly 16,000 individuals, wall sits emerged as the most effective exercise. Isometric training displayed the greatest reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure. While other activities like cardio and resistance training were also beneficial, the wall sits stood out. To perform a wall sit, place feet shoulder-width apart, two feet away from the wall, slide down and engage the core, and hold for 30-60 seconds.
