Tennis world number one Novak Djokovic announced that he and his coach, Goran Ivanisevic, no longer work together. He has struggled in 2024, losing in the semi-finals of the Australian Open before a 3rd-round defeat to 123-ranked Luka Nardi at Indian Wells. The 24-time Grand Slam winner took to Instagram to announce the news of his split from Ivanisevic, who became his main coach in March 2022. "Goran and I decided to stop working together a few days ago. Our on-court chemistry had its ups and downs, but our friendship was always rock solid. I remember clearly the moment I invited Goran to be part of my team. Marian and I were looking to bring some serve magic to our duo," Djokovic wrote on Instagram. “He also brought lots of laughter, fun, year-end No.1 rankings, record-breaking achievements and 12 Grand Slams since,” Djokovic added. Ivanisevic was nominated for the ATP Coach of the Year in 2023 after helping Djokovic win three of the four Grand Slam titles. Djokovic is level with Margaret Court for the most Grand Slam singles titles in history and will look to break that record at the French Open on May 26.
